Course Overview
This 12-week intensive course is designed to transform students into proficient UI/UX designers. The course covers the principles of user-centered design, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing.
Week-by-Week Breakdown
- Week 1 - Introduction to UI/UX Design: Understanding the difference between UI and UX, introduction to design thinking.
- Week 2 - User Research: Techniques for user research, creating personas, user interviews, and surveys.
- Week 3 - Information Architecture: Site mapping, card sorting, navigation design, and content inventory.
- Week 4 - Wireframing & Prototyping: Sketching, low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes.
- Week 5 - Visual Design Principles: Color theory, typography, layout, and grid systems.
- Week 6 - UI Design: Designing interfaces, creating style guides, and understanding design systems.
- Week 7 - Interaction Design: Designing for different devices, understanding touch, voice, and gesture-based interactions.

- Week 12 - Portfolio Development & Career Prep: Students will create a portfolio showcasing their work, and receive career preparation including resume reviews, mock interviews, and job search strategies.
